Winter Hair Oil Treatment for Dry Scalp

Winter Hair Oil Treatment for Dry Scalp

The dry heat inside during the winter and the harsh elements outside can really wreak havoc on your luscious locks, not to mention the toll all that dry shampoo takes on your scalp. Rehydrate and revive by using this coconut oil based recipe featuring peppermint and tea tree essential oils on your thirsty scalp. It’s perfect for a post-workout treatment or as part of a lazy Sunday self-care routine.

INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoon Liquid Coconut Oil
1 tablespoon Coconut Oil
4 teaspoons Sugar
5 drops Peppermint Oil
2 drops Tea Tree Oil

DIRECTIONS
In a small bowl, mix ingredients together.
Using your fingers or a hair color brush, apply mixture directly to two inch sections of clean, damp hair in the shower.
Once evenly applied, gently massage for 1-3 minutes and then clip your hair up and let it sit for the duration of your shower.
Rinse hair and style as normal.

Caution: Essential oils are highly concentrated and should be used with care. Dilute essential oils as directed, do not exceed dilutions recommended for this recipe. Pure essential oils can be irritating to skin. For adult use only. Keep out of reach of children. Not for internal use. Avoid contact with eyes.
